One rate. No tier to figure out before you can price a ticket.
Eventzilla publishes Basic, Pro, Plus, and Custom, and on the higher tiers a percentage is charged on top of the same fixed amount per registration. TixTally has one rate for every account, 1% + $0.49 per paid ticket, with every feature included and nothing annual to sign.
What you get on TixTally
No tier to work out first
There is one rate and one feature set. You do not have to model your ticket volume against three plans to find out what you will pay, and no capability is sitting behind an upgrade.
Nothing annual, nothing to cancel
No commitment, no included-registration allowance to use up or overrun. If you do not run an event this year, you pay nothing this year.
Your Stripe account, your money
You connect Stripe directly and stay the merchant of record. Passing the fee to your buyer is a per-event choice on every account, not a feature of a payment product you have to adopt.
The door works with no signal
Every ticket is a signed credential. A volunteer's phone verifies it with no connection at all, and duplicate scans are still caught when it reconnects.
Side by side, on the things that cost you money
The Eventzilla column is their own published wording, with the date we read it.
| Compared on | TixTally | Eventzilla |
|---|---|---|
| Platform fee on a paid ticket | 1% + $0.49 per paid ticket, on every account | Depends on the plan: $1.50 per registration on Basic, 1.9% + $1.50 on Pro, and 2.9% + $1.50 on Plus |
| Plan tiers | None. Every feature is available to every account | Basic, Pro, Plus, and Custom, with features listed against the tier they belong to |
| Annual commitment | None. Nothing to sign and nothing to cancel | Custom plan annual pricing starts at $1,999 a year, with 500 registrations included |
| Free events | No fee, and no feature withheld because the event is free | Free for simple events, with premium features unlocked by an add-on |
| Fee on a donation | 1.5% per donation | No separate donation rate is published on the pricing page |
| Card processing | Stripe's own rate, charged by Stripe. On 31 August 2026 that was 2.9% + $0.30 for domestic Canadian cards | Not included in the platform fee. Their pricing page states it is payable depending on your chosen payment provider |
| Where the ticket money lands | Your own Stripe account, as the payment is taken. You are the merchant of record | Your chosen provider, or Eventzilla Payments, which their pricing page describes as instant merchant account creation with daily payouts |
| Passing the fee to the buyer | You choose per event, buyer or organizer, on every account | Passing on payment processing fees is listed for Eventzilla Payments on Pro, Plus, and Custom |
| Check-in without a signal | Every ticket is a signed credential a phone can verify with no connection at all | Onsite check-in through the organizer mobile app. No offline mode is described |
The Eventzilla column is what Eventzilla publishes about itself, read from their pricing page on 31 August 2026. Nothing in that column is our characterisation of them.
Our fee is charged on top of Stripe's standard card processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. Stripe's part goes to Stripe, not to us. The per-ticket fee never exceeds $1.99. Our figures are read from the same configuration your checkout charges from, so this page cannot say one thing and your buyers pay another.
Questions about TixTally and Eventzilla
Short answers, so you can decide without booking a call with anyone.
- Which TixTally plan would we need?
- There is only one. Paid tickets carry 1% + $0.49 per paid ticket and donations carry 1.5% per donation, on every account, and every feature is available to every organization. There is nothing to upgrade into and nothing to model in advance.
- Is there an annual contract or a registration allowance?
- No. There is no subscription, no annual commitment, and no included quantity to use up. A fee applies only when you sell a paid ticket or receive a donation.
- Can we run a free event without losing features?
- Yes. Free events carry no platform fee, and nothing is withheld because an event is free. The check-in, the roles, and the audit log all work the same.
- Can we pass the fee to our buyers?
- Yes, and it is a per-event choice on every account. Pass our platform fee to the buyer at checkout, or absorb it as the organizer.
- Is Stripe's processing fee included in the TixTally fee?
- No. Our fee is charged on top of Stripe's standard card processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. Stripe's part goes to Stripe, not to us.
- Where does the ticket money go?
- Into your own Stripe account, as the payment is taken. You are the merchant of record and payouts follow your own Stripe schedule.
