One rate. Your own Stripe account. No marketplace beside your event.
Our fee is 1% + $0.49 per paid ticket, 1.5% per donation, and nothing at all on free events, on top of Stripe's 2.9% + $0.30 card processing fee. Every comparison below sets that against what the other platform publishes about itself, with the date we read it.
Ticketing platforms
The ones selling the same thing we are.
TixTally vs Eventbrite
Built around a consumer marketplace, and priced to pay for one. If your audience already follows you, that is a service you are funding and not using.
TixTally vs Eventzilla
Four plan tiers, with a percentage added on top of the per-registration fee as you move up them. We have one rate and every feature in it.
TixTally vs Ticketstripe
The closest model to ours, also per transaction and on your own processor. The differences show up at the door rather than on the invoice.
Fundraising platforms that also sell tickets
Built around donation forms and donor management, with ticketing as a module inside that. Worth comparing if you are a nonprofit weighing both.
TixTally vs Zeffy
Free to eligible nonprofits, funded by a contribution your buyer is asked for at checkout, in wording you cannot change.
TixTally vs Givebutter
Free while a tip prompt sits in your checkout, and a flat platform fee once you turn that prompt off.
TixTally vs Donorbox
A donation platform where event ticketing sits in the higher fee band, and the lower rate comes with a paid monthly plan.
Our fee is charged on top of Stripe's standard card processing fee of 2.9% + $0.30 per transaction. Stripe's part goes to Stripe, not to us. The per-ticket fee never exceeds $1.99. Our figures are read from the same configuration your checkout charges from. Every competitor figure is dated on the page that uses it.
Before you compare
What is the same on every one of these pages, and how the other column is sourced.
- Do these comparisons use current figures?
- Each page states the date its competitor column was read and which of that company's own pages it came from. Every figure in that column is their published wording, not our characterisation of it.
- Is there a monthly fee for TixTally?
- No. There is no subscription and there are no plan tiers. A fee applies only when you sell a paid ticket or receive a donation.
- Who pays the platform fee, the buyer or the organizer?
- You choose, per event. It is an explicit field when you publish the event rather than a default we pick for you.
- What does every one of these comparisons come down to?
- Your buyers pay you directly through your own Stripe account, there is one rate with nothing to upgrade into, your event page competes with nothing, and your door works with no signal in the room.
